The Big Bite® Match, just like the fourth of July Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest in the US.
Qualifying rounds are held everyday in all 7-Eleven stores, until 15 August.
You must buy a Big Bite® Match Combo consisting of 5 Jumbo Big Bite® Hotdog sandwiches and a Big Gulp® (946ml) for only P150. You will have to finish these hotdog sandwiches as fast as you can.
The Top 20 qualifiers will test their appetite in the Semi-Finals match on August 22, 2009, where they will be given five (5) minutes to eat-all-Big Bite® Hotdog sandwiches.
The Top 7 Semi-Finalists will head on to the Final match on August 29, this time it will be the ultimate battle commence, eating the most number of Big Bite® Hotdog sandwiches in ten (10) minutes.
1st Place: P 500,000; 2nd Place: P 150,000; 3rd Place: P 75,000. Finalists get P 20,000 consolation prize, not bad.
Do you think you have what it takes and gastronomically challenged? Here is the current leaderboard. Best time is from Marulas branch, clocking at 2 minutes, 6 seconds. The worst you can do is to finish the meal 2 and-a-half minutes.
