Manny Pacquiao-Ricky Hatton fight at MGM Grand Hotel, Las Vegas, USA on May 2, (May 3, Manila time) has reached as high as $15,000, according to reports. In the Philippines, the live telecast of the Pacquiao-Hatton fight will be shown in many cinemas across the country, with tickets at about Php550.00 (or about USD12.00), with free snacks.

On the other hand, bettors have favored Manny Pacquiao as well, with 2-1 betting odds over the Britain's Hatton. Initial betting in Las Vegas revealed that Pacquiao has 215 betting odds, which means a US$2.15 bet will win a dollar when you bet on Manny Pacquiao. Hatton, on the other hand has 185 betting odds (a US$1.00 bet wins US$1.85).

Surprisingly, i'm blogging about the most anticipated wedding of the year. So much about stories about the under-the-radar preparations!

After speculations of the Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo wedding being held on May 2, (colliding with the Pacquaio-Hatton megabout). The wedding took place early morning of April 28, 7 a.m., at San Juan Nepomuceno Church in San Juan, Batangas, to the surprise of fans and media.

The entourage is composed of Mon Isberto (Smart Communications spokesman), Bien Bautista (Ace photographer), Benjie Gonzales (Ryan’s uncle from the US), Susie Entrata-Abrera (Ryan’s friend and former co-host for a morning show), Rory Quintos (TV & Movie Director), and Jane Buencamino (Judy Ann’s road manager).

The Megastar Sharon Cuneta was the Matron-of-Honor while Ryan Agoncillo’s brother, Dondi, was elected the Best Man.

Agot Isidro sang "Runaway", Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid performed "The Prayer", and again Ogie Alcasid with Agot Isidro sang "One Hand, One Heart" during the wedding ceremony.


Reports claim that the wedding invitation is just a simple brown paper with something like "eto na, inuman na. Pumunta ka ng nakaputi" written on it. (This is it, let's celebrate. Taking Internet addiction Disorder as an example, it causes damages in aspects of family, school, or career: 1. In the aspect of family, the addicted spouse could cause his partner becoming a Cyberwidow or Cyberwidower, even the Cybersex or Cyberaffairs could cause disputes that leads to divorce. Internet addicted adults neglect taking care of children; Internet addicted children confront with adults.

2. In the aspect of vocation, more and more managers are concerning about their Internet addicted vassals working without vigor; they use Internet monitoring software to prevent staff from Internet resources abusing or to do anything not connected with their work.

Otherwise, Internet addiction causes those abusers physical or mental damages, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, back strain, eyestrain, headache, shoulder ache, even the excessive fatigue caused by lacking of sleep may decrease their immune system. By exposing under the violent contents for a long period of time, young men could easily commit crimes.

The arguments above mentioned are usually used to criticize game addiction. Of course, most video gamers defend video game by addressing its advantages, for example, visible benefits of video gaming are its artistic and entertainment contributions. In his book, Everything Bad Is Good For You, Steven Johnson argues that video games in fact demand far more from a player than traditional games. This requires a lot of time before mastering the game.

Under a more extensive definition of addiction, one could find that human being is technologically addicted. Addiction towards any technical product: computer addiction, television-viewing addiction, Internet addiction, video game addiction, are all examples of the entirety. Some heavy users, who used to chat through mobile phones, would be uneasy if they cannot use mobile phones for couples of days.

Computer games allows gamers to immerse in it and to elaborate their abilities freely but all these behaviors have nothing to do with material benefits. Gaming, like sacrifice, could be sovereign.

If comparing features of video games and sovereignty, one would find the one of sovereignty is the representation of the gamer who immersed in game. No wonder why video games such as RPG or Sims would be so popular, highly skilled gamer almost plays the role of god in the game.

But our ever reliable google already cached it and some people began qouting them on their Multiply accounts.

" ...On our way out of old NIP I saw the cat I almost killed last Tuesday. Now everyone knows I hate cats. It’s an unexplainable feeling towards them. Like some internal hatred. Hindi ko talaga alam kung bakit pero anumang pagpipigil sa sarili ay hindi sapat upang mapangibabawan ang panggigil ko sa mga pusa (I don’t know why but whenever I try to stop myself, I really can’t because I get a kick out of doing these things to cats). I pulled it on its tail and threw it. Then like some pro wrestler I jumped on it and my feet landed on it’s torso. Slam! Felt good! But the cat didn’t die, well not yet. It ran for it's life and just as I was about to catch up on it somebody yelled: “Pwede bang pabayaan mo yung pusa?!” (Can you just leave the cat alone?). It was instant and involuntary. I stopped on my tracks. Nobody ever stopped me when assaulting cats. Well I guess there’s always a first time for everything. The cat got away. Or at least that’s what i thought. So we went to lunch Mel, Jayson, Tracy and me. After lunch, balik na sa kung anumang naiwang gawain (we just went back to do whatever we needed to do). Then Tracy and Mel told me ” Hui Jc napatay mo yung pusa” (Hey JC, I think you just killed the cat).
Hours later, habang abala sa XRD, a guy came in. Tanong niya: “Sinong pumatay dun sa pusa?” (Who killed the cat??) Bang! Dat was me boi. Guilty as charged. I didn’t see it die pero sabi ni Myles it coughed up blood or at least something like that daw. Didn’t realize I gave it a fatal hit. This isn’t the first time I’ve killed a cat but this time it’s different. It didn’t occur to me back then that the cat had a leash. So I think somebody owns it. Well it’s very well loved in NIP from what I heard and I just ended it’s life. So there you go I’m sorry. And I wont be striking another one for maybe about a month. It feels good when your beating it (a cat) up but you suddenly feel something strange when it turns off permanently. That’s how I feel right now. And maybe for the next days. Dang, am I a cat serial killer?"

He seems to be budding a serial killer tendency, having thrills with every kill. He has an urge, a sick urge, that could only be satisfied by cat murder. Maybe this guy is looking for an outlet for his strenuous college life.

I wouldn't be surprised if this sensationalized over our local TV.

Rubio is very likely to be a top three pick in the 2009 NBA draft, although he has an expensive contract buyout that could complicate his future. Scouts describe Rubio as a natural scorer and a "genius" basketball IQ. Rubio plays in Spanish ACB League and is averaging 9.3 points, 6.4 assists and 2.1 steals in 21 minutes. Scouts say he needs to work on his shooting, but there's no doubt about his readiness.

Brandon Jennings is another prospect strutting waves overseas. Jennings plays with the Italian League club Lottomatica Roma. In June 2008, Jennings is the first American to skip college basketball to play professionally in Europe. The NBA requires players to be at least 19 years old and one year college exprerience before eligible to the NBA draft.

One of the world's rarest sharks ends up in the pot after being accidentally caught in fishing nets in Donsol, Philippines

Fishermen in the Philippines accidentally caught a megamouth shark 41, one of the rarest fish in the world and later ate it after it had been identified. Only 40 other sightings of the shark have ever been recorded, according to the World Wildlife Fund.



The 500kg, four metre megamouth (Megachasma pelagios) died while struggling in the fishermen's net on March 30 off Burias island. It was taken to nearby Donsol in Sorsogon province, said Gregg Yan, a spokesman for WWF-Philippines.

But Elson Aca, a Donsol WWF representative, said it was butchered and its meat sauteed in coconut milk as a local delicacy, against the organisation's advice.

The megamouths are docile filter-feeders. Their blubbery mouths are almost one metre wide and are lined with a brilliant silver band to attract plankton. Yan said the Burias megamouth's stomach revealed it had been feeding on shrimp larvae.

Update on Ashley Biden Coke Scandal

Vice President Joseph Biden's daughter, Ashley Biden is seen snorting cocaine at a house party this month in Delaware. At one point she pretty much complains that the line isn't big enough. Biden has been an outspoken crusader against drugs, coining the term "drug czar" in 1982 while campaigning for a more forceful "war on drugs."

The man who allegedly tricked Ashley Biden could be facing charges after the cocaine video scandal incident.

As insider reports, Ashley Biden was apparently setup-ed by a "friend" trying to profit from selling the tape to several media outlets. The tape, which was shopped around for a minimum of $250,000, claims to show a woman who looks identical to Ashley snorting cocaine.

The man bought the cocaine and a hidden camera before bringing it to a party attended by the unsuspecting target of his setup. Four lines of white powdery substance are clearly visible on the table.
